2026 Tunbridge Wells Half Marathon ๐๐
Sunday 22nd February
This ever-popular event drew runners from across the region to tackle one of the most iconic and notoriously challenging half marathon courses in the South East.
Hosted by Tunbridge Wells Harriers,๐๐ the race is famed for its scenic yet demanding route through the Kent countryside, with the infamous Spring Hill climb testing even the strongest legs. ย A true runnerโs race, it rewards pacing and determination in equal measure.
A small but mighty turnout from team Hailsham ๐คโค๏ธsaw 6 runners take on the race with determination and club spirit in abundance, producing fantastic performances.
Leading the charge for the Harriers saw Maria Smith ๐๐ผโโ๏ธ who crossed the line in an impressive 1:35:39 setting the tone for a strong team performance. ย Close behind followed a string of solid runs with Ryan West ๐๐ฝ 1:38:44, Belinda ๐บ 1:48:42, Bartz ๐ป 1:54:34, Lou Lou ๐ท 2:05:26, Darren Gillett ๐ 2:30:25 and Claire Hope ๐ป 2:56:54
As always, the team camaraderie from pre-race nerves to the final push to the finish, our Harriers were out supporting each other every step of the way. Whether chasing times or simply conquering the course, every runner earned their medal on this classic event.
With over 200m of climbing and relentless undulations, this is never a โflat and fastโ half marathon but thatโs exactly what makes it so rewarding. ย Smiles ๐(and tired legs!) at the finish told the story of a race well run.
ย A huge congratulations to everyone who took part โ you did our club very proud! ๐คโค๏ธ
