Most Sunday’s we meet near to our beautiful South Downs and Beachy Head for between 7-10 social miles. No one gets left behind as we re-group regularly. It’s a perfect way to discover new routes, appreciate stunning views and run with friends whilst getting stronger on the hills.

As a club we use Facebook to communicate most of our running events and social gatherings, probably because we are a friendly, social group of runners.

The official part of Hailsham Harriers on Facebook is Hailsham Harriers and you do not have to be a club member to join that group.

Then there is our other Facebook page – Friends of Hailsham Harriers, a page setup over 10 years ago to highlight the inclusivity of our club amongst members and their friends.  You’ll find the the most up-to-date information on this page about current club activities, what’s coming up, results, and pictures whilst celebrating our members awesomeness.

Of course we know Facebook isn’t for everyone, which is why we strive to email  our amazing members, with the additional use of Whatsapp to keep everyone connected and of course this website.

It’s not always about running as club coach Annette organisers two waddles a year – one in Summer and one in Winter. This is a social event where everyone is welcome including children, family and dogs, for a walk across our beautiful South Downs and surrounding areas. There are plenty of opportunities for pub stops, a picnic lunch and the day is finished with a Waddle meal or BBQ. The 2023 Winter Waddle will be held on Saturday 18th February and the 2023 Summer Waddle – Saturday 12th August.

Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without a Hailsham Harriers Christmas party.  Over the years we have organised dinners, dancing, festive lunches, cocktails, festive runs, fancy dress, treasure hunts and much, much more.  In 2023 we combined a festive run through Abbotts Wood with a treasure/scavenger hunt, followed by a wonderful meal at a local pub afterwards.

We take our Black and Red colours nationwide and globally with recent trips to Bournemouth, Dublin, Malaga, Chicago, Snowdonia, Madeira, Berlin and Athens. 2024 offers more destinations to run and explore with Budapest and Boston USA to name a few.
