✈️❤️🖤 Gatwick Half Marathon 🖤❤️✈️
Sunday 10th May 2026
The skies above Crawley were buzzing and so were the legs of four determined Hailsham Harriers as Vinny 💂🏻♂️, Oli P, Claire Hope 🐻 and Colin Underwood 🏃🏽 took on the exciting Gatwick Half Marathon.
Set on closed roads beneath the busy flight path of one of the UK’s largest airports, the event offered runners a unique mix of fast roads, energetic atmosphere and the unforgettable sight and sound of aircraft roaring overhead.
Our Harriers tackled the 13.1-mile challenge with fantastic determination, embracing the warm conditions and lively race-day atmosphere 🎉 from start to finish. The course combined town-centre streets with open stretches around Gatwick, creating a race experience unlike any other.
Oli P 📸 produced a strong and composed run, showing great pacing throughout finishing first Harrier home in 1:32:58, while Vindog 💂🏻♀️ once again demonstrated strength and determination to cross the line in a rapid 1:38:00. Colin Underwood 🏃🏽 had a sensational run representing the black and reds to finish 1:52:50 with Claire Hope 🐻 powering her way around the course to run 2:29:49 🙌
Our Harriers quarter represented the club brilliantly amongst a huge field of 1660 runners.
Whilst the planes were taking off overhead for destinations around the world 🌍 congratulations go to Oli, Vinny, Colin and Claire on their first class achievements ❤️🖤 👏🏻
