Held in late March or early April on a Tuesday evening, this event pitches Hailsham Harriers against one another on a three lap course of Milland. Milland is the location for a great deal of our Winter training. One lap is about 1200m so the race is approx 2.6 miles in total. Entrance fee is £1, the race is open to Harriers and non-members may run as a guest of the club. We meet directly at the top of Milland at the point where we finish hill reps during our Winter training sessions, which means there’s no meeting at Summerheath Hall on that day.

The run is clockwise around Milland and is three laps. Prizes are awarded to the fastest times of the night and also spot prizes are awarded to runners at the discretion of the marshals. It is a great way to gauge the improvements runners have made over the winter months and there is plenty of encouragement from both runners, marshals and those supporting.

Our 2023 race took place on Tuesday 25th April.  Congratulations to Josh Webster who stormed to the finish in a rapid time of 13 minutes.  Josh currently trains with Eastbourne Rovers juniors team and gets his speedy talents from mum Flick and Dad Shaun.

First Harrier home to lift the trophy saw men’s captain Bartz in 13:13, 2nd place Sam Unwin in 13:49 and 3rd Chris Shoult 14:25.

Ladies captain, Tinks, took first place in 14:50, 2nd place Nadine in 15:51 and 3rd Katy Reed in 17:54.
