Sussex Grand Prix
The Sussex Grand Prix is a road running competition open to all affiliated clubs in Sussex and takes place throughout the year. All England Athletics registered members of affiliated clubs that have signed up to compete in the Grand Prix are eligible to compete for individual and team prizes.
Sussex road running races throughout the year are selected to be part of the Sussex Grand Prix series. Points are awarded to all competing club members with the best scores from a selected number of six races, chosen by each runner, making up the final composite score.

Prizes are awarded to individuals in specific age categories and similarly team prizes are awarded to clubs and to age specific teams. Scoring is separate for males and females. Prizes are awarded at the end of the season get together, usually held at the Kings Head Pub, Horsebridge. The Sussex Grand Prix is organised by a committee drawn from competing clubs.
In previous years Hailsham Harriers have scored high in the team rankings with many individual awards won my members in their respective age categories, top scorers and top 20 men/women. Here’s where we have finished as a team over the past years:
2024 – Club Champions – 1st Place Overall Team
2023 – Club Champions – 1st Place Overall Team
2022 – Finished 2nd Place team
2020 & 2021 SGP Cancelled due to the Pandemic
2019 – Finished 3rd Place team
2018 – Finished 3rd Place team
2017 – Finished 2nd Place team
2016 – Finished 2nd Place team
2015 – Finished 2nd Place team.
