🖤 Brighton Half Marathon ❤️
Sunday 1st March 2026 🌊
The streets of Brighton came alive once again as runners took on the iconic Brighton Half Marathon, greeted by a buzzing seaside atmosphere 🌊 and incredible support from start to finish.
Among the crowds, Hailsham Harriers were out showcasing our black and red colours with a team of 8 runners
With the backdrop of the famous seafront 🌊 , the route offers a mix of coastal views and lively city sections. The early miles felt full of energy as runners settled into rhythm along Madeira Drive before heading into the heart of the city, spurred on by loud, enthusiastic support on what was a damp and dreary day ☔️
Conditions were tough, with endless rain and a driving wind to add to the toughness but our Harriers spirit shone through and our runners nailed the distance with super performances across the board and memorable achievements 🙌
First Harrier home saw Mike Leigh 🤩 (1:20:35), Ads 🦈 1:24:54, Los 👶🏼 1:26:52, Chris FG 🏃🏽 1:40:38, Darren Grice 🏃🏻♂️ 1:42:48, Gemma 💎 1:43:04, Jo 🏁 2:14:50, Louisa 2:16:10, Abbie Marsden 🎵 2:17:36, and Hannah Jarvis 🌺 2:25:55
Congratulations to Ads, Chris, Darren, Gemma, Jo, Louisa, Abbie, and Hannah, who all secured new personal bests ⭐️ with Mike and Los running new course PB’s 🙌 👏🔥 a testament to all their hard work, consistency, and determination paying off.
Across the field our Harriers showed great strength 💪🏼 and spirit, whether chasing times, supporting teammates, or soaking up the soggy occasion ☔️. The long stretches along the prom tested pacing and resilience, but the final stretch back along the seafront brought a welcome lift, with the finish line drawing runners in through a wall of noise, cheers, and celebration 🎉
A brilliant day of racing, team spirit, and success for all our runners —one to be very proud of 🏃♂️✨
Well done everyone🖤❤️
