The Lewes Athletic Club ❤️💛Easter Fun Runs take place every Easter Monday as part of the West Sussex Fun Run League – a series of 17 races over twelve months.

Held at and from the fabulous Lewes Athletic Club track at Wave Leisure Centre, Mountfield Road, Lewes, there are three events: The toddlers’ trot, a 400m (one lap) race around the track for small children (aided by their parents and carers if need be), a 1 mile race for juniors and a 10km race (for over-15s only).

Easter Monday saw a huge chance for our mighty Juniors 🖤❤️ to race, supported and cheered for by coaches Annette 💚 and Graham Pundye 😂

Coach Annette had this to say ‘Three juniors participated in the one-mile fun run. They all ran brilliantly and paced their races really well, we were so proud of their achievements 👏🎉. It was also wonderful to see Poppy’s  twin brother Oscar taking part too, his determination was impressive- hopefully we can get him sporting the black and red soon! 🖤❤️

They really are times to be proud of 🤗 We look forward to welcoming our juniors to the monthly track races during the summer. Dates to be revealed’. 👍

One of our wonderful new senior recruits, Claire Keith 🩷, took part in the 10km race.  With the course much longer than 10km, Claire ran a super race, inspired by our juniors.  She crossed the finish line in an impressive 50:22 🙌 🖤❤️
