On the back of completing his first road marathon at Brighton on Sunday 7th April in a rapid time of 3:12:38, Dave Garratt 💂🏻 (DG) the machine that he is, headed off to the Kent Countryside the following weekend to run his second road marathon 😦

The Kent Spring Marathon is a superbly crafted multi-terrain Spring marathon through some of Kent’s prettiest countryside 🌳.  Hosted and fully organised by Nice Work this popular race is a two-lap marathon covering the undulating, quiet, wide lanes outside North Ashford.  The course heads out through the nearby countryside and around the pretty Kent villages of Charing and Westwell with a short section on the Pilgrims Way.

Known for being a friendly event, the race always attracts great reviews and makes a refreshing change from some of the busy, big city affairs 🏙️

With the final 1.5k of the race, downhill, fast finishes are almost guaranteed and this was no exception for DG💂🏻‍♀️ as he stormed over the line in 3:29:54 placing 11th overall 🙌

A flipping awesome run DG💂🏻‍♂️ on tired legs and in a superb time too.
