The Adidas Manchester Marathon is one of the UK’s premier running events, famous for its fast, flat and friendly route.

Known for a ‘PB’ course the 4th largest event in Europe welcomes everyone to this 26.2 mile challenge, from elite runners, to those who think completing a marathon would never be possible.

The Mancunian support throughout the course makes this one of those unforgettable marathons and certainly one for the bucket list.

Four of our incREDible Harriers made the journey ‘up North’ to take part in the largest Manchester marathon yet which saw a whopping 32,000 people take part.

Captain Bartz 👨🏻‍✈️ stormed across the line, first Harrier home, knocking 9 minutes off his previous marathon time, to finish with a shiny new PB in 3:06:29 🌟.  Our very own Bassett hound 🐶 , Mark Bassett, has not trained or ran a marathon distance since 2019 but has put in great determination and effort of late, he crossed the line all smiles, also finishing with a new PB of 3:26:36 🌟 Mick Husarz, headed back to Manchester for a second year in a row to knock a massive 12 minutes off his time from last year, finishing with a PB of 3:26:00 🤩 Completing our Harriers quartet saw Andrew Moore finish in 4:48:18.  Sadly Andrew struggled with injury in the later part of the race, but never a quitter, he held his head high and carried on to the finish line with true Harriers grit and courage 👏🏻 🖤 ❤️

A huge shout out to an impressive team, you should all be super proud.

Our Harriers super fan 🪭 Aislinn 🐾 , (aka Miranda Marcos) supported the Harriers quartet during the entire race.  She ended up run/walking almost 18 miles carrying a specially designed Captain Bartz poster – her artwork is amazing 😻

Next Year the Manchester Marathon will be held on Sunday 27th April 2025
