Beachy Head 10K🖤❤️
10K DELIGHTS – BIG HILLS, BIG SMILES AND BIG ACHIEVEMENTS!
Beachy Head 10K – Saturday 24th October
Eleven Harriers proudly took on the Beachy Head 10K, and what a fantastic morning it was! For many, this was their very first taste of the famous Beachy Head experience, while others were tackling their first-ever 10K. And what a course to choose for your debut! Those South Downs hills certainly don’t give anything away for free!
Leading the black and red home was Dave Garratt 🛁, storming to an impressive 20th place overall in 47:06. Colin Underwood 🏃🏽 followed in 1:02:18, with Louisa Geer 🦩 finishing in 1:11:12 and Lindie Jooste 🇿🇦 in 1:14:36.
One particularly lovely moment saw Mia Long 💕take on her first 10K alongside mum Charlie 👩🏻⚕️, the pair sharing the hills, the smiles and that all-important finish line in 1:15:24. A special memory and a brilliant achievement for them both! 🖤❤️
Helen Greck 🌺 crossed the line in 1:21:35, followed by Nicola Sexton 🌷 in 1:26:14. Hannah Jarvis 🌼and Abbie Marsden 🦌 enjoyed their own shared finish in 1:27:20, while Shauni Hamling 💞proudly wore the Harriers’ black and red for the very first time, completing her challenge in a superb 1:58:23.
From first-time 10K runners to Beachy Head debutants, family moments and first outings in club colours, every single Harrier gave us something to celebrate.
We couldn’t be prouder! It takes courage to step outside your comfort zone, especially on a course as challenging as Beachy Head, and our Harriers rose to the occasion magnificently.
Big hills, bigger hearts and eleven very well-earned medals. That’s the Harriers spirit! 🖤❤️
