The Sussex Cross Country League is a series of four races, organised by the county 💙 💛 which takes place annually between October and February at different venues across Sussex.

Within the league there are age and gender graded distances of up to five miles and through recent years a non-scoring Under 11 race has also been introduced to give athletes aged 9+ more race opportunities 🏃🏼‍♀️ 

The fantastic Goodwood course played host to the first fixture kicking off a fantastic season ahead.  

112 runners took park in the U17, U20, Senior and Vet Womens race with a fantastic team of ladies representing the black and red’s 🖤❤️ Nadine, making this her debut race for the Harriers had a flying start to the 5K course, crossing the line in 23:40 (69th), with Hannah DC 25:52 (83rd), Victoria sampling her first taste of the Saturday XC season, finishing in 27:44 (96th), Julie Chicken 27:52 (98th) and Katie Manley 29:37 (104th).  

Race 2 will be held at Ardingly Showground on Saturday November 12th.
