Race 3/6, Sunday 15th December 2024

Well done to everyone who braved the super muddy conditions at Newplace Farm on Sunday 15th December for race 3 in the East Sussex Sunday Cross Country League.

Our Harriers juniors set off at 10am showing us all how to brave cross country running.  John Gilkes put on a sterling performance for the under 11’s with a rapid time of 12 minutes whilst Ollie Croucher in the Under 13’s stormed across the mud to fly home in 16:21 🙌 Superb running chaps 🖤 ❤️

For the seniors, the two-lap, 5-mile undulating course, organised by Uckfield Runners 💛 🖤 is always a fixture favourite offering a mixed terrain route, wonderful marshals and great cake at the finish🎂

Amongst 320 runners who showed up for a challenging morning, we saw fantastic performances by our mighty black and red team in what can only be described as a mud bath!  Well done to everyone that took part with extra kudos to those that managed to stay upright 😂 Big thanks to team Morris once again, for tent and flag duties, which is much appreciated by us all ⛺️

Overall we sit in 6th place (out of 14 scoring teams) which is a remarkable effort as we sit in the league as a single club team ⭐️ Keep being brave, keep turning up and giving your best as no matter where you finish, you’re doing our Club proud 🖤❤️
