Chichester 10K
Sunday 5th February – 9am
The Chichester 10K is one of the oldest and fastest running events in the country.
Under new management by Runbase events, the Chichester 10K is held at Goodwood, giving runners a unique opportunity to start and finish the race within the iconic Goodwood Motor Circuit 🏎 🏁
The 10K route is wide, and the running surface is excellent throughout the entire course, perfect for those chasing quick times 🚀
Starting in front of the main grandstand runners headed in a southerly direction, completing a 3.5k lap of the Motor Circuit before heading out onto local roads and re-entering the race circuit at 8.5km where they headed for a chequered flag 🏁, grandstand finish🏎️
Hailsham’s racing duo Ross 🚀 and Aislinn 🐾 made the journey up to Chichester to take part. With weather conditions almost perfect compared to last years strong winds & rain they both successfully ran two new personal bests 💪🏼
Ross soared across the line in 33:27 with Aislinn 39:29. Aislinn cheered Ross on from the grandstand last year so to come back this year and achieve a personal best is magnificent and a testament to all her hard work over the past year 💕
Ross the Rocket 🚀 with his 10K PB broke our Harriers Vet Men 40 club record. This record has been held by club legend – Paul Eccles (Peccles) for 19 years, achieved at the same race (although a different route) in 2004. Ross shaved almost a minute off the record time which has stood at 34:55. Congratulations Ross, an outstanding performance 🏁🚀🏆⭐️🥰
The next Chichester 10K is scheduled for February 4th 2024.
