A foggy morning set the stage for a superb day of racing at the Eastbourne Half Marathon, with runners treated to a brand new course, more bands 🎶, great support and record numbers.

The route, which now heads out towards  Holywell along the seafront before turning and drawing runners back to sovereign harbour, offered coastal views and a chance to support other runners on every turn.

Our Harriers rose to the challenge in style, showing strength 💪🏼 , support and team camaraderie 🖤❤️

Strong finishes across the board reflected the near perfect race conditions and our club’s depth, with standout performances and impressive times recorded.

First Harrier home saw Mike ⭐️ in 1:21:41 followed by Mick 🏃🏽 a personal best of 1:29:05, Claire Keith 🍒 first female Harrier and first in age 🏆 with 1:29:31, Oli P 💴 a personal best of 1:29:56, Chris Little 🔥 a personal best of 1:34:45, Woolley 🧶 1:36:05, Andris 🙌 1:36:11, Chris FG 🌟 a new persona best of 1:36:46, Bilts 🚒 1:37:04, Darren Grice 🏃🏻‍♂️ a personal best of 1:39:23, Dan 🏃🏻‍➡️ 1:39:23, Jo McGowan 💕 a personal best of 1:41:59, Vindog 🐕 1:42:28, Nicky 🇮🇪 , first in age 🏆 with 1:46:28, Tinks 🧚🏻 and Fluffy 🐸 1:46:33, BiG Si 🥊 1:47:55, Charlie 👩🏻‍⚕️ 1:48:53, Neil 💪🏼 1:59:07, Amie 💘 a personal best of 2:06:48, The Ledge 🖤❤️ 2:14:29, Lady Delves 👸🏼 2:14:30, and Sophie 👱🏻‍♀️ 2:34:22.

Ads 🦈 proudly represented the club, taking on pacing duties for the sub 1:30 group. His encouragement and support played a key role in helping runners reach their goals whilst many Harriers came out to cheer and support from the sidelines – always a big boost to see a friendly face or ten 🖤❤️

The support out on the course was fantastic, giving everyone that extra lift when it mattered most, and the finish line 🏁 atmosphere did not disappoint with plenty of smiles, relief and a selection of well-earned goodies.

It was a brilliant day for racing, great conditions, and another strong showing – Eastbourne delivered yet again💪
