The Phoenix 10K forms the 8th race in the Sussex Grand Prix and is the flagship race of local running club Brighton Phoenix 🐦‍🔥

Brighton Phoenix hold this annual race to raise funds for the Brighton based Clock Tower Sanctuary.

The 10K course is out and back, flat and fast which runs west towards Shoreham on the promenade 🌊 , past Hove Lagoon and out towards Shoreham Docks 🚢 where the  race turns at 5km returning to the finish at Hove Lawns.

On a beautiful Summers evening 🌅 with only a slight breeze, race conditions were near-perfect for the 632 runners taking part and as a club we witnessed our biggest Harriers turnout of all time with nineteen of our black and red family running 🖤❤️

Dodging the odd bike 🚲 and running through the waft of beach barbecues 🍖six Harriers finished with new personal bests so huge congrats to Chris Doherty 👁️, Ollie Paterson 🔑, KT Reed🦆,  Mumma Roo 🐶, Abi 🌷, and Jo McGowan 🌹 🙌

First Harrier home saw Chris Doherty 👁️ zoom across the line in a rapido 34:45 followed by Martin 🛎️ 42:26, Ollie 🔑 42:57, Tinks 🧚🏻 43:27, KT 🦆 45:43, Mumma Roo 🐶 45:57, Tina ⚽️ 46:03, Fluffy 🐌 46:35, Andrew Moore 🏃🏻 48:20, Abi 🌷 49:43, Jo 🌹 50:49, Nemo 🐟 53:31, Lady Delves 😎 57:41, Lisa PH 🧡 58:32, Cathy 🥿 58:34, Louisa 🚁 59:10, Kev 💪🏼 1:00:55, Jayne 🦸🏻‍♀️ 1:00:54 and Robbie 🇮🇹 1:18:08
