💛 London Landmarks Half Marathon👑
Sunday 7th April 2024
The London Landmarks Half Marathon is a closed road, central London run and is the only half marathon to go through both the City of London 🇬🇧 and City of Westminster 👸🏼
The idea of the London Landmarks Half Marathon was born in 2014 when baby charity, Tommy’s, embarked on a strategy to double the amount of money they raise annually from £4m to £8 million. They decided that launching a new mass participation event was the best way forward. The team at Tommy’s wanted the half marathon to be more than just a run and so developed the strap line, ‘The Grand, The Quirky, The Hidden’. The idea being that the route would shine a spotlight on not only London’s grand iconic landmarks, but also its quirky and hidden history and gems 💎
Starting at Nelson’s Column the fantastic route takes runners passed St Pauls Cathedral, the Cheese Grater 🧀, The Gherkin 🥒, the Walkie Talkie 📞, The Tower of London 🏰 and Big Ben ⏰ to cross the finish line near Bojo’s home – Number 10 Downing Street
Victoria 👮🏻♀️, Katie 🌼 and Els 💕 joined over 11,000 entrants to take part this year. Katie 🌼 crossed the line, first Harrier home in 2:00:16 followed by Victoria 👮🏻♀️ in 2:00:55 and Els 💕2:38:29.
What a fabulous trio 🖤❤️ Well done ladies 🙌 ⭐️ 🥰
Next years London Landmarks will take place on Sunday 6th April.
