☀️ Hastings 5 Miles 🌊
Sunday 4th June – 9:30am
It was a warm, sunny morning compared to last years drizzle 🌧️ for The 16th Hastings 5 Mile road race on Sunday, which also forms the 5th race in the Sussex Grand Prix 2023 race calendar.
Organised by events team Sports Systems, in conjunction with local running club Hastings Runners🖤💚, the event saw 400 runners gather near the Town Hall in the centre for the flat, fast route. For the second time in the event’s history, runners were again allowed to run a 550 metre loop around the towns beautiful, historic Hastings Pier as part of the traffic free course.
The Hastings 5 Mile race is held in memory of former Hastings Runners member, Keith Chandler, who passed away in 2005 with all proceeds from the race donated to St Michaels Hospice ❤️
