Worthing Half and 10K🖤❤️
Sunday 3rd May
Sunshine ☀️, sea air 🌊 and fast coastal miles set the scene for another fantastic morning of racing at the ever-popular Worthing Half Marathon and 10K.
The flat and speedy seafront course attracted runners from across the South East, and our black and red vests certainly made their mark with superb performances, personal success and age category silverware 🏆
Three Harriers took on the Half Marathon: Fay Stevensova 💕2:28:11, Maria Smith 💆🏼♀️ 1:36:13 and Claire Keith 🍒 1:30:48 producing a brilliant set of results with Claire and Maria storming to victory in their respective age categories 🏆 🥇, three fantastic achievements against a strong field.
The coastal route may be known for its fast times, but the sea breeze and warm conditions still provided a tough test in places. Nevertheless, our three ladies dug deep, paced superbly and powered their way along the beautiful Worthing promenade.
Meanwhile in the Worthing 10K, Mick Pasqua 🏃🏽 1:13:13 delivered a sensational run to smash through to a brand new 10K personal best 🎉🔥his second in just two weeks 🙌
With crowds lining the seafront, plenty of support around the course and medals 🏅 proudly earned at the finish line, it was a successful day for team Black & Red.
