Robertsbridge Summer 10K & 5K ๐ย
Friday June 20th 2025
Victoria ๐ฎ๐ป, and Chris Little๐ฅ headed back to their home town of Robertsbridge as they do every year, to run in the Robertsbridge Midsummer 10K, organised by the Robertsbridge Bonfire Society ๐ฅ in conjunction with Nice Work events team ๐ Victoria and Chris were joined by David Woollard ๐๏ธ this year ๐ง in the 10K distance which saw the evening celebrate 800 years of Robertsbridge.
On a beautiful but super warm evening this awesome trio raced their way along the roads and pretty trails surrounding the East Sussex village, with a finish line at the local Cricket ๐ Club.
For Victoria and Chris, this forms one of their favourite events on the race calendar after growing up in the area. ย Despite the challenging hills, David ๐๏ธ finished first Harrier home in 43:06, with Chris ๐ฅ 51:29 and Victoria ๐ฎ๐ป 59:33.
David ๐๏ธ had this to say โฌ๏ธ
โA challenging route on a mixture of terrain completed yesterday evening at the Robertsbridge Midsummer 10k. Sections of fields, trail paths, and a bit of road.
I heard about this event before but had never been able to attend. It used to be a 2 lap course but this year it had a change in route. It was a nice scenic run and had a steep hill to contend with ๐
Not only was the route challenging but the heat we were running in was too ๐ฅต
I felt satisfied with my run.
Gun/ Chip Time: 43:06
Position: 15th out of 157 runners
Age Category: 2nd๐โโ๏ธ๐
๐ค Great work David, Chris and Victoria ๐๐๐. Those are three fabulous times on a tropical โ๏ธ Summers evening. ย Hopefully you got to enjoy those post race burgers ๐ and beers ๐ป under the sunset ๐
at the event BBQ – what a great way to end a week.
