Paddock Wood Half Marathon
Sunday 12th March – 09:30
The Paddock Wood Half Marathon was first held in 1989 and is now in it’s 33rd year. Back in 1989, 690 runners took part, on Sunday, a whopping 2750 runners took to the quiet, Kent streets 🌲
Described as ‘A must do race’ in running magazines, it is one of the most successful races across the South East.
Sponsored by Lambert and Foster (A local business specialising in the sale of farms 🐄 and land) many entrants use the event as part of their final preparation for upcoming marathons 🏃🏽♀️
With a route that is rural 🌲 and flat, with just one little hill at 1.2 miles, it is no surprise that many runners come away with personal bests ⭐️
Running for the Harriers 🖤❤️on Sunday were David Woollard, The Leeks and Maria Stanford.
David ran a rapid race to finish in 1:20:45 with the Leeks racing to a new PB 🌟 in 1:29:30 🐪 and Maria completing our fabulous, glamorous trio, crossing the line in 2:42:51.
Congratulations to you all. Fantastic running team even with those windy conditions 🥰🥰🥰
