Malaga Half, Winchelsea Beach Run 🏖️ and 3WordRuns Rathfinny Christmas Run
As winter deepened across much of Europe, Málaga offered a perfect racing escape on Sunday 14th December with mild Mediterranean temperatures and streets lined with festive energy.
With over 22,000 participants across the marathon and half marathon fields, the 2025 edition was billed as the biggest in the event’s history, attracting runners from more than 90 countries 🌎
The race started early with spectators cheering from historic avenues and coastal boulevards, the vibe was equal parts serious and celebratory.
Running for Hailsham and proudly displaying our away kit, saw Neil Squires 🌟 deliver a superb performance despite a hamstring niggle in 2:02:42. Congratulations also go to Faye Stevensova 💕who finished in a fantastic 2:27:59.
Finishing up a great year, Rob Chrystie 🍪 took part in the 1066 Westfield Trail 10K on December 28th. A mainly off-road route following the famous 1066 Country Walk path for the first 3kms, passing the Bayeux Tapestry inspired Farbanks Henge sculptures, before returning via the hamlets of Little & Great Maxfield. Rob zoomed around on his birthday 🎈 finishing 3rd 🥉 place overall in 31:12 🙌
On the same day, Claire Keith 🍒 completed a magical year of running by taking part in 3WordRuns Rathfinny Christmas Run 🤶🏻
After being ill all over Christmas, Claire tackled the off-road trail 10.7k route through the beautiful, undulating Rathfinny wine 🍷 estate, producing a fantastic run to finish 2nd 🥈 female overall in 48:37
For the fourth year running, the Rathfinny Christmas Run is organised by Darren Evans from 3WordRuns, Ambassador to WOLO 💛.
This wonderful event combines stunning scenery, often dubbed “beautiful but brutal”, with fresh crisp air and plenty of festive spirit, all while raising vital funds for WOLO (We Only Live Once) 💛💚 – supporting families across Sussex affected by cancer 💛💚
This year’s run raised an amazing £1,180 🙌
And thats a Harriers wrap for 2025 🎉 🖤❤️
