Tuesday 20th December 🎅🏻 

Postponed from the 13th December due to ice and snow ⛄️ our annual festive 🎄 event managed to take place on Tuesday 20th December.

The Chicken Run for our Juniors Harriers saw some exciting racing with 3 laps (2K) of Forest View.  First across the line saw Daisy in 9.54 with our fastest girl – Beth in 7.59.  First for the boys saw Rocco in 8:35 with Josh fastest boy in 8:14.  Harley had the most consistent run to finish in 10:14. This was run over 3 laps of forest view, approximately 2k with the fastest runner heading out last.

Super well done to all of our fabulous Junior Harriers, those are speedy times of 🖤❤️ 

Over in the adults Turkey Trot 🦃 the winner of this year’s Turkey went to Hannah Deubert-Chapman who also nailed fastest lady on the night 🏆 Hannah who has gone from strength to strength again this year flew around the 2.5 mile course in a rapid time of 19:43 🤩 Enjoy your bird Hannah 🦃 

The battle was on between Captain Barts  and Los Jellybaby to take the fastest men’s time on the night.  Captain Barts won the battle in 15:38 with Los storming to the finish in 15:45 🤩 Those are superb times chaps, super well done 👏🏻

Many Harriers secured new turkey PB’s 🦃 on the night – congratulations to Sam, Marcos 💛, Victoria and Adam.  A big shout out goes to our amazing C25K runners Diane and Josie and to those who took part in the Turkey Trot and Chicken run for the first time  – you’re all amazing.  

This year instead of a raffle we encouraged everyone to bring a donation to Hailsham Foodbank and our amazing Harriers team went over and above in this request.  The foodbank were overwhelmed with the generosity 😊 

Finally, lets not forget to raise a glass 🥂 to all those that made the night happen – our wonderful organisers, leaders, time keepers, marshals, volunteers, cheer squad, club coaches, everyone that supplied nibbles, Julie Lewis-Clements for the foodbank idea 💡 and of course to all our fabulous chickens and turkeys 🐔 🦃
