Blue skies, stunning sea views and plenty of Sussex hills combined to make this year’s Peacehaven Trail 10K another unforgettable morning on the South Downs.

Hosted by Peacehaven Run Club, the popular multi-terrain event took runners on a spectacular journey across rolling chalk downland, scenic bridleways and sections of the iconic South Downs Way, with breathtaking views 👀 stretching across the English Channel 🌊 .

It may have only been 10 kilometres, but this was certainly no ordinary 10K, with plenty of climbs, fast descents and uneven trails keeping runners on their toes from start to finish.

A trio of Hailsham Harriers 🖤♥️proudly sporting their black and red colours tackled the testing course with determination, smiles and plenty of team spirit.

Whether chasing a podium place, a personal best or simply enjoying a fantastic morning out on the trails, every Harrier embraced the challenge and crossed the finish line with a well-earned sense of achievement.

First Harrier home saw Oli Paterson 💰 cross the line in 51:29 followed by Claire Shilling 🪙 57:24 and Chris Findlay-Geer 🩵1:01:19

The Peacehaven Trail 10K continues to grow in popularity, and it’s easy to see why.   Superb organisation, friendly marshals, spectacular coastal scenery and a brilliantly varied course make it an enjoyable trail race in Sussex.

Congratulations to every Harrier who took part.   The climbs may have tested the legs but the smiles at the finish line told the real story.
