The Haywards Heath 10 Mile hosted by Nice Work Events team and Haywards Heath town council,  is a race that forms part of the Mid Sussex Marathon Weekend.  It also this year represented race one in the start of the 2025 Sussex Grand Prix League 💙 💛

We were the proud champions of the 2023 & 2024 SGP league and already we begin this year in fine fettle ready to defend our title 🏆

On Sunday 4th May, blue skies and sunshine greeted over 400 entrants across three events which began with a kids fun run and a mile race with John Gilkes running a sensational time of 07:09 cheered on by his fellow Harriers family 🖤♥️

The 10 mile, challenging course, which involves two laps, starts on the high street with the first mile downhill, before runners cover off-road paths, trails, footpaths and plenty of hills, finishing in Victoria Park for the finish, a warm welcome and a great medal presented by the Haywards Heath Mayor 🏅

A fabulous turnout of 24 Harriers took to the start line where we welcomed two ladies for their debut run in Harriers colours.  Amie -Louise Ody 🌻 and Gemma Payne 💎 you did us all proud 🖤♥️ thank you 🙏🏻

First Harrier across the line saw Chris Doherty 🥔 smash a whopping 4 minutes off his time from last year, and this year taking the overall win 🏆 🥇 ⭐

Claire Keith 🍒 stormed to an impressive 1:08:17 placing second female overall and also winning her age category ⭐ followed by Audrey 💊 in a superb 1:11:18, Maria Smith 💆🏼‍♀️ & Ryan 🏃🏽 1:12:18, Oli 👨🏻‍🍳 1:12:39, Sarah 🌷 1:13:10, Tinks 🧚🏻 1:14:55, Graham Pundye 😂 1:15:59, Chris Little 🔥 1:16:54, Tom Price 🎨 1:17:30, Leeland 🚴 1:18:24, Belinda 🌺 1:20:31, Steph 🧁 1:21:30, Vinny 💂🏻‍♀️1:21:38, Arthur 🎶 1:24:29, Ed 👿 1:24:29, Gem 💎 1:30:36, Victoria 👮🏻‍♀️ 1:33:55, Ros Daintree 🌹 1:35:55, Andrea 1:36:15, Fluffy 🐌 1:38:05, Amie 🌻1:50:29 and Robbie 2:12:53

Claire 🍒, Audrey 💊 and Maria 💆🏼‍♀️ took first ladies team (the second year running that we have won this prize) whilst Chris 🥔, Claire 🍒 and Maria 💆🏼‍♀️ won their respective age categories 🙌
