The hottest weekend certainly did nothing to deter a hardy bunch of twenty-four Harriers from racing at the Horsham 10K road race, event number 3 in the Sussex Grand Prix race league.

In tropical 🌴 conditions with the race underway at 11am 🥵, 500 runners competed in this multi-terrain route with some grateful shady respite at least 😰 through St Leonards Forest.

First Harrier home saw the ever speedy Chris Doherty 🚴🏽‍♂️ finish in an incREDible fourth place and running a new 10K personal best time of 36:59 🤩 with our amazing Aislinn 🐾 first female 🏆 and 17th place overall in a super time of 40:30.  Captain Bartz 🧑‍✈️ ran another strong performance to cross the line in 40:38, followed by Ads 🦈 41:34, Woolley 🧶 43:06, The Bassett Hound 🐕 45:47, Tinks 🧚🏻 46:02, Oli P 🔑 running a 10K personal best in 46:08, Claire Keith 🌺 46:49 running her debut race in Harriers colours, Chris Little 🔥 47:24, Graham Pundye 😂 48:03, Tina ⚽️ 48:37, Mumma Roo 🐶 49:24, Katy Reed 🦆 racing a course personal best in 50:12, Fluffy 🐌 51:08, Steph 🧁 running a course personal best in 52:16, Victoria 👮🏻 55:17, Andrew Moore 🏃🏻‍♂️ 56:28, Lady Delves 😎 58:53, Nemo 🐠 1:03:21, Claire Hope 🌷 1:06:39, Lisa PH 🧡 1:07:16, Robbie 🇮🇹 1:24:53 and Anne 🩷 1:30:38.

It was all smiles for our Harriers ladies as Aislinn 🐾 , Tinks 🧚🏻, Claire Keith 🌺 , and Lady Delves 😎 all placed first in their respective age categories 🏆 

Sensational performances by everyone in tough conditions and on a tough route.  We are proud of you all.  We’ve started the SGP with a bang 💥 let’s keep it up team 🖤♥️ Everyone’s points matter 🏆
