With conditions not exactly replicating Summer, a mighty bunch of hardy Harriers, friends and family met at 10am for a gentle 12-ish mile (14) stroll over the beautiful south downs.

The torrential non-stop rain did very little to dampen the Harriers spirit as a marvellous day was still enjoyed by all …. Or was it the abundance of watering stops and banter that kept everyone going? 🍺 🍷

Plans for a lunch stop on Alfriston green were slightly halted as too were the plans for a rewarding BBQ that evening, but of course Hailsham Harriers are never defeated and Els & Ruffs put on a magnificent spread (from the oven) under a dry roof 🏡 although blue skies and the sunshine eventually made an appearance 🌞
