The Rathfinny Run is an exceptionally special running experience which focuses on reducing it’s environmental impact and encourages runners to reduce their carbon footprint… It’s a green race 💚 achieving amazing things 🌍

This race has sold out since it began in 2022 and is always highly popular amongst local runners, with this year being no exception.

As well as being a carbon neutral event, the run is widely supported by the amazing WOLO Foundation which helps support families living in Sussex through their cancer journeys 💛

As travel is a big part of a runners carbon footprint, 🦶🏽runners were encouraged to car share or hop on a shuttle bus from Seaford and Berwick Train Stations with every runner awarded a recycled slate medal and a trainer repair kit.  Instead of t-shirts, trees and shrubs 🌳 were planted.

On a busy running weekend up and down the country, running and representing team black and red saw Ryan West storm around the half marathon route in an impressive 1:59:43  placing 16th overall 👏🏻 🖤❤️

Congratulations Ryan 🏃🏻‍♂️ on a fabulous run in tropical conditions 🙌
