Early December saw the iconic Goodwood Motor Circuit transform from roaring engines 🚘 to pounding trainers👟 as Run Through’s Running GP rolled into town.

Located at the foot of the Sussex Downs, the track is the only classic circuit in the world to remain entirely in its original form. Goodwood Motor Circuit originally opened its gates to the public in September 1948, to host Britain’s very first post-war motor race meeting at a permanent venue.

In windy, wet and wild conditions five Harriers took on the concrete, undulating terrain choosing one of six distances; A 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, 20 Miles, full marathon or 50K

Running in the half marathon saw Alice 🐈 race to a fantastic new personal best of 1:27:58 and finishing proudly in first place for the ladies 🏆🥇

In the marathon Chris the rocket 🚀 Doherty produced a sensational run in his first ever marathon.  After months of dedicated training, Chris crossed the line in an impressive 2:47:50 finishing first in age 🥇 and 8th overall.

Claire Keith 🍒 flew around the lapped course in a superb time of 3:14:41 placing 2nd 🥈 female overall and first in age 🏆 ⭐️ whilst Mick Husarz stormed home in a rapido 3:31:56 🙌

Big shout out and commiserations to KT 🏃🏻‍♀️ who made the tough decision to pull out from the marathon due to a leg injury.   We are all gutted for you having to pull out at 20 miles — that’s the hardest call a runner ever makes, and you made it at the toughest point of the race. Huge respect for getting that far though. It’s never seen as quitting, it’s grit, wisdom, and looking after yourself ♥️

Goodwood always promises speed and it was a superb day of racing to draw the end to a fantastic running year ever closer, building momentum for an even bigger 2026.
