The Rathfinny Run is an exceptionally special running experience. Taking place the day before World Earth Day 🌎, it focuses on reducing it’s environmental impact and encourages runners to reduce their carbon footprint… It’s a green race 💚 achieving amazing things that puts our environment at it’s heart ❤️ 

Organised by ‘3 Word Runs’ and the amazing Darren Evans, entrants get a very special opportunity to run through the stunning Rathfinny B Corp wine estate 🍷 right here in the heart of East Sussex.  Running through beautiful, hilly trails, runners get to experience stunning views of the South Downs.

Running for the Harriers 🖤❤️ and joining 137 entrants in the challenging off-road 10.7K event saw The Leeks 🐪 finish first Harrier home, crossing the line first place female in a speedy time of 50:48 🙌 🏆 Lianne has taken part and supported The Rathfinny run since the event begun three years ago 🩷. Cathy Gilling 🥿 joined The Leeks, finishing first in her age category with a rapid time of 1:13:33, followed by our awesome Kirstie 🏊🏼‍♂️ running 1:14:50 and our equally awesome Kevin Morris 💪🏼 1:17:07.  

Over in the half marathon, 87 runners took part with Team Bassett; Mark 🐶 and Steph 🧁 soaking up the beautiful scenery to finish over the line together in a superb 2:12:35 

Everyone finished with a recycled medal and a (lite) trainer repair kit to help extend the life of their trainers.   And an added special touch, instead of t-shirts a tree will be planted for every entrant 🌳 🤩 The Rathfinny Run also helps to raise funds and awareness for the great work of the wonderful WOLO foundation 💛 

3 Word Runs are also the event organisers of The Longbridge 100 Summer Backyard Ultra at Litlington.
