39th John Faulds Hellingly 10K

our 2026 John Faulds Hellingly 10k Race. With a race limit of 350 runners early entry is advised.
This is part of the Sussex Grand Prix series the 10k course is a UK Athletics accurately measured one lap route on undulating country roads. All runners will receive a medal, there will be trophies for the first finishers and age category winners.

EVENT INFORMATION
Final race information will be sent out by Sports System closer to the race event but please see below which will hopefully be helpful in your race preparation.
Race Route:
- The race start is in Station Road, Hellingly, BN27 4EU – this is located after the cuckoo trail bridge which is approximately 400m from the race HQ and car parking field. The race finishes at the Roebuck Park Cricket Pavilion field, BN27 4EP (which is within a 1-mile walking distance of the start HQ and carpark)
- The route is a UK Athletics accurately measured one lap course on undulating country roads. A course map is shown and also available here: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/304608386 (please note this is showing longer than the actual route as starts at the HQ car park)
Venue and Parking:
The Race HQ is sited at the car park in Church Road, Hellingly, BN27 4EX. There will be plenty of free parking available in the field which is close to the start. Please follow our carparking signs and any marshal directions on the day. The race start is in Station Road, Hellingly, BN27 4EU – this is located after the cuckoo trail bridge.
Race Briefing:
The race briefing will take place for all runners at 8.45am at the race HQ situated in the Car park at Church Road. Runners will then be taken round to the race start in Station Road which is approximately 400m walk from the race HQ/car parking field.
Bag Drop:
Bag drop will be available on the day at the race HQ. The bag drop will then be transported to the finish line for you to collect, as the race start and finish are in two separate locations (they are within a 1 mile walking distance of each other). Please ensure your bag is adequately marked, bag tags will also be available on the day.
Race Numbers and Information:
Race numbers must be collected on the day from the Start HQ and will NOT be sent out ahead of the race, please leave enough time for collection on the race morning. If there are any remaining race places these will be available to purchase on the day at the start HQ before 8.45am.
Race Timing:
Sports Systems will be timing the event and results will be available on their website www.sportssystems.co.uk. Your time and position in the results will be based on your individual chip time. As set down by the rules of athletics, the results and prizes will be provided in Race Time order.
Facilities:
Toilets will be available at the Start HQ and at the finish.
Event Safety:
Safety is our priority. The event is run on open roads, please obey marshal instructions at all times and position yourself sensibly on the open roads. Please use the cuckoo trail at the start for your warm up and the finish field for your cool down to reduce contact with traffic on open roads. In line with UKA regulations, the wearing of headphones is NOT permitted on races run on open roads.
Prizes and Results:
Finishers medals will be given to all race finishers and prizes will be awarded to the race winners based on chip times. We will be awarding a trophy to the club/team with the largest turnout on the day. All prize presentations will be made at the Roebuck Park Cricket Pavilion around 10:30am. Prizes will be awarded to the first 3 Male and Female runners along with winners of each age category.
